Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Akagera National Park

Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to Akagera National Park, the drive to the park take approximately 2 hours drive to arrive at the destination, we will stop over en route for a picture moment you will have lunch and an afternoon and an evening relaxation at the lodge veranda overlooking the Lake Ihema dinner and staying overnight at

Day 2: Game Drives and Boat Cruise Along Lake Ihema

We will rise for early morning breakfast after which we transfer to the park for risers, expect to see mammals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and the park so much popular when Lions were introduced, Zebras returning to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon transfer to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise along Lake Ihema, you will spot many water birds, animals like hippos, crocodiles returning for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

Following a morning breakfast, you will start your journey to the land of mountain gorillas, the drive to Musanze from Akagera is scenic with views, and enjoy the landscape through the beautiful towns and villages, you arrive at the park in time for lunch and an afternoon visit to the Ibywacu community, they will entertain you with the Rwandan traditional dances and drumming, you will have the chance to participate in the dances, dinner and staying overnight at

Singita Kwitonda.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a morning briefing after which enter the dense forest in search of the primate species, the trek takes 2 or more hours depending on how far the mountain gorillas have moved, the trail paths through the forest have a thick plantation, along the paths you will be surprised by how much you can see, upon meeting the primates, enjoy them for an hour and return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Singita Kwitonda.

Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Following an early morning breakfast. You will be transferred to Nyungwe Forest National Park, the drive takes approximately 6 hours to arrive at the destination stopover enroute at Nyanza province to exhibit through the old palace of the King, the architecture of the buildings around the premises is unique and presents a traditional setup, we will arrive in time for Lunch and an afternoon relaxation dinner and staying overnight at

One and Only Nyungwe Forest.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk

We will have an early morning breakfast after which we will transfer to the Uwinka visitor center for a briefing from the park rangers, later in groups you will head into the forest for the days event it takes 2-3hours to find the special species, they love nesting up in the tree canopies a make loud charter noise hearing them at distance is much easy, the guide will tell you so much about the forest and the Chimpanzee at large, while here look out for more primates types like the black and white colobus monkeys, L'hoest monkeys, blue-tailed monkeys, to mention a few. Returning for lunch and an afternoon canopywalk through the suspended bridges above the tree canopies you will experience the tree canopies and birds'species dinner and staying overnight at

Day 7: Black and White Colobus Monkey Tracking

Morning tea of coffee after which we will transfer to the park headquarters for a black and white colobus monkey experience, the experience is amazing there are thousands of white creatures all of which are tucked in black and white color, the tracking overlooks the tea estate above which are the most lovely views of the forest, returning for dinner and relaxation at

Day 8: Transfer To Lake Kivu

On this day we will transfer to lake Kivu, through the beautiful rolling hills of the countryside, the lake straddle along borders with the democratic republic of Congo, we will arrive in time for a hot lunch and an afternoon boat cruise along Lake Kivu, enjoy the lovely sunset and island tour on the lake, overlooking the Lake is the Virunga forest and distanced Nyungwe Forest National Park, we will return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight at

Lake Kivu Serena Lodge.

Day 9: Transfer To Kigali Capital City

Morning breakfast after which we will transfer to Kigali, arriving in time for a Kigali experience at the Kigali memorial genocide a place of rest for thousands of Rwandans who lost their lives during the 1994 Rwandan genocide, proceed to the museum for the art fact and historical monuments of the Rwandans, visit the local market, dinner and staying overnight at

Kigali Serena Hotel.

Day 10: Departure

We will have breakfast after which transfer to the Kigali international airport for our international flight back home.
