15 Days Uganda Tour

Proposed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, transfer northwards to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop
for rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After lunch at the sanctuary, proceed
to the top of Murchison Falls where the Nile compresses into a narrow gorge,
creating a thunderous roar and spectacular rainbows in the mist.

Lodge (deluxe) / Bwana Tembo Lodge, Nkundwa Nile View Lodge, Red Chilli Camp
(budget).

Day 2: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, enjoy a game drive in the northern sector of the park,
home to elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards (if lucky),
hippos, and numerous bird species. After lunch, take a two-hour boat cruise to
the base of the falls, where wildlife congregates along the riverbanks.

Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury) / Pakuba Safari Lodge,
Fort Murchison Lodge (deluxe) / Nkundwa Nile View Lodge, Bwana Tembo Lodge,
Red Chilli Camp (budget).

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls heading southwest via the Albertine
Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Enjoy scenic views of rural homesteads
and farms. Lunch en route in Hoima or packed lunch. The drive takes
approximately 5–6 hours.

Overnight at Crater Safari Lodge (luxury) / Primate Lodge, Turaco Treetops
(deluxe) / Chimpanzee Forest Lodge, Kibale Forest Lodge (budget).

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Community Tour

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters by 8:00 am for briefing
before chimpanzee tracking. There is a 95% chance of encountering chimpanzees
in this forest. Return for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon walk through Bigodi
Community, including coffee experience, banana gin processing, craft shops,
and conservation initiatives.

Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge, Kibale Forest Lodge (budget) /
Primate Lodge, Turaco Treetops (mid-range) / Crater Safari Lodge (luxury).

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Community Walk

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Visit Katwe-Kabatooro
Community to observe traditional salt mining at Lake Katwe, and stop at Lake
Munyanyange, a flamingo breeding site. Proceed to your lodge for lunch and an
evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Katara Safari Lodge,
Kyambura Gorge Lodge (luxury) / Enganzi Lodge, Elephant Hab Lodge,
Park View Lodge (deluxe) / Irungu Safari Lodge, Songbird Lodge (budget).

Day 6: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, home to lions,
leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, and warthogs. In the afternoon,
take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel between Lakes Edward and George,
offering exceptional wildlife and bird viewing.

Day 7: Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park
to search for the famous tree-climbing lions. Lunch at Savannah Hotel before
continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking & Evening Community Walk

After an early breakfast, attend a briefing and begin mountain gorilla trekking,
which may take between 2–8 hours. You will spend one hour with the gorillas.
In the evening, enjoy a community walk if time and energy allow.

Day 9: Batwa Trail – Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After breakfast, head to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for the Batwa Trail
experience. Learn about the Batwa people’s ancient forest lifestyle, medicinal
plants, hunting skills, and cultural heritage. Tour fees directly support the
Batwa community.

Day 10: Golden Monkey Tracking

After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for briefing before tracking
golden monkeys. After the activity, return to your lodge to relax.

Lake Mule Safari Lodge (deluxe) / Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge, Mucha Riverside Lodge

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Boat Trip

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon boat
cruise around the islands, including a visit to the famous Punishment Island.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game
drive to spot zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, and birdlife.

Day 13: Horseback Riding & Boat Cruise

After breakfast, enjoy a guided horseback safari offering close wildlife encounters.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on Lake Mburo to view hippos, birds, and
other wildlife.

Day 14: Transfer Back to Kampala

After breakfast, return to Kampala with scenic stopovers for photography.
Drop-off at your hotel.

Day 15: City Tour & Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a Kampala city tour visiting the Bahá’í Temple,
Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Old Kampala Mosque, Uganda Museum, and craft
markets. Lunch in the city before transfer to the airport.
