Detailed 18-Day Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our professional driver-guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Mabamba Wetland – Shoebill Tracking

Early morning transfer to Mabamba Wetlands for shoebill tracking and birdwatching. Return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Drive through Luwero Triangle with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After lunch in Masindi, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the Top of the Falls. Evening game drive.

Day 4: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Morning game drive spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes. Afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls with sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Day 5: Game Drive – Northern Sector

Relaxed morning followed by an afternoon game drive on the northern bank of the Nile to spot wildlife missed earlier.

Day 6: Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park

Scenic drive via Hoima and the Albertine Rift Valley, passing tea plantations en route to Kibale Forest.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking – Kibale Forest

Morning chimpanzee trekking from Kanyanchu Visitor Centre. Afternoon at leisure or optional Fort Portal town visit.

Day 8: Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Guided nature walk through Bigodi Swamp, famous for monkeys, birds, and indigenous trees. Afternoon relaxation.

Day 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive through the crater lakes region to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Afternoon game drive in the Kasenyi plains.

Day 10: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Morning game drive followed by a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa’s best wildlife viewing spots.

Day 11: Full-Day Game Viewing

Enjoy extensive wildlife viewing with a picnic lunch inside Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 12: Lake Katwe – Ishasha – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Visit Lake Katwe salt mining area and Lake Munyanyange. Continue through Ishasha plains in search of tree-climbing lions before arriving in Bwindi.

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Early morning briefing followed by gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Spend one magical hour with the mountain gorillas. Optional community walk.

Day 14: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park with game viewing en route, spotting zebras, impalas, elands, and waterbucks.

Day 15: Boat Canoeing – Lake Mburo

Morning at leisure followed by an afternoon canoeing experience on Lake Mburo.

Day 16: Lake Mburo to Entebbe

Morning nature walk, breakfast, then drive back to Entebbe via Kampala.

Day 17: Beach Relaxation – Lake Victoria

Relax and enjoy the cool breeze along the shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 18: Departure

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for departure or optional safari extension.
