True wilderness a waits in the northeastern part of Uganda, the most remote national park in the country with totally different features from most of the parks. An indigenous group known as the Karamajong lives close to the park and their unique lifestyle of dress code, social life and cultural dances can’t be missed on such an opportunity. Among the Karamajong people, there is still a small group of the IK people that dwell in the mountains of the region and special tours are made with private guides to their settlement area.
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kitgum or Gulu
Not many people that choose to explore Uganda add Kidepo to their bucket list this is one of themost adventurous and explorative Uganda safaris that involve views of the country’s epic landscapes like Karuma falls and the wildlife in Karuma wildlife reserve, River Kafu and the plains of Nakasongola. The government of Uganda has invested in the construction of roads and the long journey may therefore not be so bumpy. With an estimation of 7 hours to Gulu, there is normally an en route meal for lunch. Later on the journey breaks in Kitgum or Gulutown for the overnight.

Day 2: Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park
The longer relaxation overnight gets us quite energized for the next journey. Immediately after breakfast, set out for a 4-5 or 3-4 hours from Gulu or Kitgum respectively to the rugged plains of Kidepo. Right away, start to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, animals and endless plains. After a rest and lunch at the lodge, an evening game drive starts at around 4:30when animals are having their dinner just before sunset. Animals that can be spotted roaming around include giraffes, zebras, buffalos, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeest and jackals.

Day 3: Game Drive and Karimajong Community Visit
It is an adventurers dream come true waking up in the middle of the wilderness with an excitement for the next new thing to see, listening to the soothing vocals of the birds and opening the eyes to the huge elephants in the plains.Have breakfast and leave for a game drive. There are a lot more than just animals, birds and vegetation; the Lomej hills, Morungole ranges and Lotukei Mountains form stunning backgrounds in this destination. The game drive lasts for about 4 hours and a break at the lodge and lunch get us to evening which is planned for a moment with the Karimajongs.
An interaction with the Karimajong is full of fun and pleasure due to the entertainment by these lively nomads, the interesting social life and homesteads they live in known as Manyattas and the arts and crafts made that make the best souvenirs in the region.

Day 4: Return to Kampala
