5 Days Rwanda Primate Tracking Adventure

Day 1: Arrive in Rwanda – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Meet and greet at the Kigali International Airport by your driver-guide. Depending on your arrival time, your driver-guide may propose you a visit of Kigali city which includes the Genocide Memorial centre at Gisozi. Transfer to Kinigi at the foothills of the Volcanoes. Hotel accommodation at Virunga Lodge (high end)/ Da Vinci Lodge (Mid Lodge) Or Muhabura Guest House (Budget facility) Meal plan (Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Rwanda & transfer to Kigali.

After breakfast, you will depart for the headquarters of the Park where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about the greatest animal experience ever! After assigning your gorilla group you will then enter the jungle for your   gorilla trekking tour in Rwanda. Your driver-guide will wait for you. After the trekking, lunch at Ruhengere and the afternoon is spent on relaxation and sightseeing around the Park. Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking

After breakfast, you will report to the headquarters for a visit of the golden monkeys (cercopithecus mitis kandti). A visit to the golden monkeys. The afternoon is spent on a village visit to the Iby’Iwacu community village, Located just outside the national park, this living museum highlights aspects of traditional Rwanda society. Visitors can expect to be greeted by thunderous drumming, joyful dancing, and the kind of hospitality that has permeated Rwandan society for centuries. The village features hands-on activities related to the rituals and ways of life in the ancient Rwandan kingdom. Day 4: Hiking the Bisoke (3.711 m) Kigali.

Hiking the Bisoke is organized as a one day hike and starts early in the morning. A park ranger will escort you to the top of the volcano.  The Bisoke with an altitude of 3.711 m is the fourth highest mountain of the Virunga chain and has a beautiful lake on the top. The Crater Lake is the greatest of the Virunga chain. On a clear day you will enjoy the beautiful Crater Lake and the views of the other virunga volcanoes. Fantastic views in all directions, lushly forested slopes, shady bamboo forest and an exhilarating climb! After your excursion transfer to Kigali for overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel (high end)/ Hotel Chez Lando (Mid Lodge) Or Discover Rwanda youth Hostel (Budget facility) Meal plan (B-L-D)

Day 5: Kigali Visit and Departure

Pick up at your hotel, depending on your departure time and if you missed the opportunity on the first day, you will have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi. Transfer to the Airport for your departure.
