6 Days Uganda Wildlife Adventure

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast transfer northwards to Murchison Falls national park en route tracking rhinos in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. After lunch in Masindi Town, drive up to the top of Murchison falls - a magnificent spot where the Nile water compresses into a narrow gorge of over 1 km wide down through a 7 meter canyon forming a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in a plume of spray - the wonders of the Nile River. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury) / Pakuba Safari Lodge (deluxe) / Red Chilli (budget).

Day 2: Game Drive and the Nile Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, you will tour the Northern part with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, if you are lucky the leopards, plus a variety of bird species. After lunch, go for a two-hour cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls from where appalling water escapes through the narrow gorge forming a great thunderous uproar. Along the falls water birds and mammals are in great numbers. Meals and overnight at red chili (budget)/ Pakuba safari lodge (mid range)/ Para safari lodge (luxury).

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, transfer from Murchison Falls NP heading Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley while enjoying the sights of traditional homesteads and farms in this verdant country side. Murchison to Kibale drive is approximately 7 to 9 hours depending on the weather conditions. Stay an overnight at Chimp Guest House (Budget)/ Primates Lodge (Midrange)/ Crater Safari Lodge (Luxury).

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park.

In the morning, you will set off to Bwindi National Park passing via Ishasha sector where you will view the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue and have picnic lunch en route, arriving in Bwindi in the evening for dinner and overnight at Bakiga lodge (Budget)/ Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge/ Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (midrange)/ Gorilla safari lodge/ Mahogany Springs (luxury).

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Tracking and Community Visit

After an early morning breakfast walk to the park headquarters for briefing and later follow the gorilla trail. It normally takes between to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. In the evening you will go for a community visit where you will discover more about the local people. Meals and overnight at Trekkers Tavern(budget)/ Bakiga Lodge/ Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (mid range)/ Four Gorilla lodge/ Mahogany Springs/ Gorilla safari Lodge (luxury).

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali and a City Tour

In the morning after your breakfast, you will set off your journey back to Kigali with stopovers for photography reaching early in the afternoon for city tour to the genocide Memorial and other places before you later transfer to your place of residence or to the airport for departure depending on schedule.
