8 Days Primate Tracking Safari in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kampala.

Upon arrival at the airport, our company representative will pick you and transfer you to Kampala for refreshment and overnight at La Petit Village (luxury)/ Cassia lodge (deluxe) / Malakai Eco Lodge (budget).

Day 2: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

Our company guide will pick you up from Entebbe airport and then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park en-route tracking rhinos in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After lunch in Masindi Town, drive up to the top of Murchison falls - a magnificent spot where the Nile water compresses into a narrow gorge of over 1 km wide down through a 7 meter canyon forming a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in a plume of spray - the wonders of the Nile River! Overnight at Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury)/ Pakuba Safari lodge(deluxe)/ Murchison River Lodge (budget).

Day 3: Game drive and the Nile boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.

After an early breakfast, tour the Northern part with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, , giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, if you are lucky the leopards, plus a variety of bird species. After lunch, go for a two-hour cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison from where appalling water escapes through the narrow gorge forming a great thunderous uproar. You will hike along the falls sighting water birds and mammals which are in great numbers. Return to the lodge for your dinner and an overnight at Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury)/ Pakuba Safari lodge(deluxe)/ Murchison river lodge (budget).

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

After breakfast, transfer to Kibale Falls National Park heading Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley while enjoying the sights of traditional homesteads and farms in this verdant country side. You take packed lunch or simply have an early lunch Hoima. The Kibale-Murchison drive is approximately 7 to 9 hours depending on the weather conditions. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest house (Budget) /Primates Lodge (Deluxe)/ Crater safari lodge (Luxury).

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Community Tour.

Wake up for an early morning breakfast to get ready for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. You need to get to the park headquarters by 8.00 am local time for briefing on the day's activity by the senior park ranger guide. At 8.30 am you will be transferred to starting point from where the search for chimpanzees begins. There are 95% chances of seeing the chimpanzees in this forest. By midday you are expected to be back for lunch and later go for a community walk to Bigodi community. Explore the community developments like schools, craft shops and other conservation projects that have been developed to help the community as you interact with the local people. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee guest house (Budget) /Primates Lodge (Deluxe)/ Crater safari lodge (Luxury).

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi National Park.

In the morning, you will set off to Bwindi National park passing via Ishasha sector where you will view the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue and have picnic lunch en route, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at Gorilla mist camp (Budget)/ Bakiga lodge (Mid range)/ Gorilla Safari Lodge (luxury).

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Tracking and Community Visit and transfer to lake Bunyonyi.

After an early morning breakfast walk to the park headquarters for briefing and later follow the gorilla trail. It normally takes between to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. In the evening you will go for a community visit where you will discover more about the local people.later you will transfer tp lake bunyonyi. Meals and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort (Budget)/ lake Bunyonyi Eco Lodge (Midrange)/ Birdnest Resort (Luxury).

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali and a City Tour

In the morning after your breakfast, you will set off your journey back to Kigali with stopovers for photography reaching early in the afternoon for city tour to the genocide Memorial and other places before you later transfer to your place of residence or to the airport for departure depending on schedule or Transfer to Kampala with stopovers for photography reaching early in the afternoon for a traditional lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Centre & another stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for amazing photoshoots and water experiments, also visiting the royal drum makers and later transfer to Entebbe airport to catch up with your departure flight depending on your flight schedule.
