6 Days Murchison Falls, Kibale & Bwindi Gorilla Tour

 

This 6-day Uganda safari takes you through the country’s most spectacular national parks,combining wildlife safaris, primate encounters, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural experiences. Highlights include rhino tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary, game drives in Murchison Falls National Park, chimpanzee habitats in Kibale Forest, and unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.


Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, depart northwards to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking — the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.

After lunch in Masindi Town, continue to Murchison Falls and hike to the Top of the Falls, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow 7-meter gorge, creating a thunderous roar and beautiful rainbows.

Day 2: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, home to elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, lions, and occasionally leopards, alongside diverse birdlife.

After lunch, embark on a 2-hour Nile boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls.The cruise offers spectacular views of hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and the dramatic waterfall.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, transfer southwest to Kibale Forest National Park, driving through the
scenic Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Enjoy views of traditional homesteads, tea plantations,
and lush countryside.The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours with stops along the way.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depart Kibale Forest heading south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the famous Ishasha sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before continuing to Bwindi, arriving in the evening.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Community Visit

After an early breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your mountain gorilla trekking adventure. Trekking can take between 2–8 hours depending on gorilla movement.

Once located, you will spend one magical hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat.
Packed lunch is recommended.

In the evening, enjoy a community visit to learn about local cultures and traditions.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali & City Tour – End of Tour

After breakfast, depart Bwindi for Kigali, Rwanda with scenic stopovers for photography.
Arrive early afternoon and enjoy a Kigali city tour, including a visit to the
Genocide Memorial and other key landmarks.

Later, transfer to your hotel or Kigali International Airport for departure.
